I applied online to renew my passport, using a photo I took myself with my iPhone on a tripod, on March 27. Did not ask for expedited service. $130. A simple process.

Received my new passport yesterday, April 10. Two weeks from start to finish.

I am pleasantly surprised they can turn it around that fast.

Renewed mine and my wife's on the same day. Hers arrived within a couple of weeks. For some reason mine took almost six weeks.

I just happened to check my Passport at the end of January and discovered it had been expired for 2 weeks.
I renewed mine the first week of February by mail and my renewed Passport was delivered to my mailbox 4 weeks later. I was expecting the worst with all the personnel dismissals but they seem to be getting along just fine.

Me too. Never use it anymore, but as a "U.S. person" I want to have a valid passport. Point of pride. I hate seeing the ID photos 10 years apart. Show how decrepit I've become. To be expected, I guess.

Back in the 60s or 70s the pictures were still B&W in England. Some comedian commented that if you looked like your passport picture, you were too ill to travel.
