I have a Beretta 92 Brigadier, which is an F gun (decocker and safety). Never had an issue with the safety. I then picked up a 96 Centurion slide to convert it to .40. This one was a G setup, which is decock only (looks the same, just the "safety" flips back up). That got me on the decockers, being it is one less thing to do.
Last year, I picked up a .45 Beretta PX4. The .45s only come in F configuration, so I did not have a choice. I looked around, and picked up a set of Stealth controls (closer slide release and decocker tabs). This can only be installed with converting it to a G setup (I guess safety, being they would be hard to flip up with so little area to grab; decocking isn't a problem), so I didn't have a big issue with it. Had it cera-plated, and actually got it back yesterday. Don't miss the safety, at all...
