I have just switched carriers and went from Verizon to the Wal-Mart my family mobile and kept my old phone (iPhone 4s). I did however read yesterday a pretty good review on the Moto G. I am thinking that if I decide to switch phones that I will give serious consideration to that unit. I have looked at HTC'S and LG'S but haven't read any type of reviews on any of them.

Incidentally the My Family Mobile is run thru T-Mobile and, I seem to be getting just about them same signal strength as I did with Verizon. Bottom line is I am paying almost $15.00 a month less for Unlimited Talk and Messaging and Data.

Was using Moto G when I was on Verizon.
It's an excellent phone.
Mine is the older 3 G, not as fast as the newer phones.
I went to a iPhone 5s , Comsumer Cellular (att).
For the difference in money, the Moto G is probably the better choice.

I had an iPhone 4, had it for a few years. I'd probably still be using it but I wanted a 4G phone . I tried to find a 4S but didn't have any luck, so I bought a iPhone 5S & I love it. It's a ways beyond the 4, maybe not as evolved as the 6, but plenty good enough for me. I don't have any experience with the Moto, so I can't help you there. Good luck!

I like my iPhone 5s. Does most things I want it too, not as big as the 6. The 6Plus is way more than I need. Last non-iPhone was a Moto Razr V3, so can't help on the alternatives.

The newest Moto G is pretty darned nice. I'm on Ting which runs on either T Mo or Sprint. Sprint has a wider coverage area and they roam on Verizon, but the signal at work is for ****. My phone is a T Mo Galaxy Avant (a lower end Samsung). Much better signal at work, and it works for me. My son's is on the Sprint network so we can have the wider coverage when we travel. This is my first experience with the T Mobile network, and I'm pretty happy so far after just a couple of weeks. I've always been on the Sprint network before.

Wife and I started with the 4s, then 5s, and now the wife has a 6plus which pretty much replaced her iPad. I wouldn't consider anything but an iPhone but we've got all Apple computers as well AppleTV and subscribe to iTunes Match. The compatibility makes life real easy.

Wife tried a Samsung Galaxy 5 with the large screen but found it less than intuitive for her so she took it back and got the iPhone 6plus.

For just a stand alone phone I'd say the new Samsung S6 Edge with Gorilla glass is tough to beat. A bit pricey at $800-900. Awesome camera.

With so many choices it can be a bit intimidating. Happy hunting.
