ordered a sling finally

2 point. I have never liked a 1 point sling. I have one that's been in my gun stuff box for many years collecting dust. I know there are situations where a 1 point is better but I don't figure on being in those kinds of situations.

I'm a pragmatist. Function over form for me. If a situation arises where a sling will be helpful, then sling it is. However, I do not ascribe the notion that you can tell who's a real shooter by whether or not their gun has a sling.

I see it in training classes all the time. Guys show up on day one with a ton of gear. They have all the latest "tacticool" stuff. By day 4 they've whittled it down to what they really need vs what they thought all the "operators" used.

You want a sling? I say get/make the best sling you can afford and learn how to use it. You don't want a sling? OK, you can still shoot with me. I don't judge a shooter by what he brings to the range or hangs off his rifle. I judge a shooter by whether or not his bullets land where he says he can put them.

I got about the cheapest sling I could ever find except for the Allen slings that are quick adjust. :D Still I love the thing. I've been shooting with slings for many years. I know how to make them work for me. I'm not about to say everyone needs one. I just know they help me a lot.

:D I think I got you beat, my single point bungee sling came free with my attachment ring..
Sure its made in china but its actually well made and it gets the job done, Oh and did I mention it was free..

So I moved to magpul canine length handguard and lost access to front sling post when doing so.

Can someone help me with these quick disconnect slings? These can just mount on handguard and then second point on stock?

In info with links to Amazon etc would be super helpful. Really appreciate it.

Magpul for the rail.

IWC for the stock.

I actually have a third Midwest Industries cup over the castle nut so that I can easily transition from two point to single point with the Magpul MS4 sling.

These are what I have on my M&P15 TS which came with no QD cups.

They work great as a system. Not inexpensive but very secure and reliable...and no regrets on my part.

Links are to the products on the parent company sites. They may be available elsewhere for less.

First, I hope you meant to say "carbine" length, because "dog" length doesn't make any sense. ;)

Second, do you have a pic of your gun? I'm not sure how the Magpul forearm would cover the front sling swivel. It doesn't on my gun.

---------------

For single point you release from handguard and stock, then connect them together via QD, and then to QD endplate.

Not sure which Magpul handguard you have, but if you got the M-LOK handguard you can use QDs with those.

Not an AR but same thing.... Here's my Remington 700 with Magpul M-Lok QD point.
