I now carry a G26 for about a month and always regripping, seems like i just can't get comfortable.I'm getting a M&P9c to use and compare for EDC.I hate to give up a smaller ccw for one that's a bit larger,if I'm correct? But any S&W is worth a try for me.Wish I still had my old 908:) Any help on this dilema,I'm all ears for suggestions deciding. What feels good in the hand is a great thing but other differences I'm not sure which is the better choice.

I didn't notice that much difference when I swapped a 9c for a 27(same size as 26). My son liked the 9c so much , he sold his 26 and bought a 9c for himself.

Thanks Samauri for your reply,it's a start and I just want to be sure it's a good move to switch from the always popular glock. The grip on the M&P9c I believe will be the deciding diff. for me!:)

That was what made the difference for me. I was carrying a G27. Found a good deal on a M&P9c. I like the grip better on the M&P. The only real difference is that the front end of the gun is a little longer. Not that much and still conceals very well. I think you will like the M&P.

You would not be the first to replace a Glock with an M&Pc...The adjustability of the M&P is amazing, not to mention they perform VERY well on target.

Thanks all ,I know that there are many glock lovers out ther and I have had 2 G19 G26 and just time for a change.I'm 5'9"
160 soaking wet so a compact is for me.Ihave always enjoyed any smith I've had auto or revolver.I am strictly 9mm on;y guy for years,it's just my comfort zone:D

I've had both and I can say I definitely prefer the M&P. I loved my Glocks, but I like the M&P's just that little bit more.

Also sold my G26, but replaced it with a 1911 officer. Might be buying a M&P9c too as my EDC. I have the M&P9, and the grips are the same as my 1911. Don't have to change my grips between them.

I got my Clock 26 many years ago, and have been carrying it in the summer with the 12-round Glock mags with the finger extension. It is one of 5 Glocks that I own in 9mm, .40, and .45. The G26 has always been quite accurate for me. The main thing I dislike about it is the Glock trigger with the insert in the trigger face.

After I had my M&P 9 for a couple of years, I bought an M&P 9c and use it with the finger extension mag base plates. Shoots almost identical to the G26, but I like it better beause of the changable grips and the more ergonomic trigger. Like the full-size 9, I had Dan burwell do a trigger job on it. It conceals just as well as the G26 in a Galco Concealable holster.

I've since given the G26 to my wife to replace her Kahr 9, and I use the M&P 9c for summer wear under a t-shirt. My daily carry gun used to be the M&P 9, but I now use my new M&P 45.

I like the desing and mechanics of a Glock well enough. They certianly are tired and true. However with smaller hands I was always seeming to struggle to shoot my 26 and 27 as good and as easily as I wanted. I purchased a 40c next. The 26 is sold, the 27 will be next to find a new home. I can shoot it worlds better than the Glocks. That was what made the final decision for me. Regrettably there are not the holster options for the compacts as their are for the Glocks but will just have to work around some to find what works.

My holster for the M+P 9c is a [iwb ] desantis, model =cozy partner, its leather with a tension adjustment on it.No problem with setting in a car or drawing from same. It has a forward cant and a small sweat guard. I've tried a few other , I like this one way better.

I just picked up a lightly used Springer XDsc .40 that I hope to replace my G27 as my EDC piece. I like the G27 OK and shoot it well but it has never felt right but does feel better with a sleeved G23 mag in place. That is how I usually carry it while dog walking the hood but for general concealed carry I pop in the 9-round flush mag and let the pinkey hang.

The XDsc came at a good price and feels oh so good. I also have a XDm 3.8 .40 I am going to move into the HD role to replace my G22 RTF in the nightstand when I make the switch to my EDC gun so both of my "go-to" defense handguns have the same/similiar manuel-of-arms.

I do want to feel up/shoot a M&P 40c and also a Gen 4 G23 to see what I like. Yes, I am fickle about guns but I know what "feels right" to me and it is NOT the little Glock.

Don't see many used M&Ps around here and it is hard to justify buying new and paying full-tilt just to try stuff out.
