ouch. Ouch. OUCH!!!!!

500 carbine?
Here's your gun, specifically engineered for the round.
Now also offered in 460.
I have asked them to make one in 445 by they have demured so far.
model-89-carbine
I also have yet to hear from anyone who actually got one delivered.

that 89 carbine looks nice
although not interested in a break-over (aka; handi rifle) single shot, I'd like a nice falling block (ruger #1 type), rolling block, hiwall, etc. in 500.
a few years ago at the big Tulsa show, I saw a SxS in 500 that caught my eye but it had just sold to a dealer and reportedly was custom made by somebody with some real talent.
I think Blazer may offer one but it aint cheap...

At 3350$ for the walnut and color case im gonna have to pass for now. But when the dinosaurs get loose or the buffalo decide to stage a hostile retaking of the Great Plains, I'll put my order in and hold them off with my 444 and 45-70 till it gets delivered. I don't own a 500 in one of the handi's because I never felt the need, but that being said they sell new for 260$ so one might follow me home.

Uhhh, I believe that should be a crew-served weapon, with a carraige, a caisson, a four-horse hitch, and should be touched off by remote control from inside a bunker. That thing is field artillery.

Ya'll go on up ahead without me on the .500. If'n I need that much smashum, I'm going 12 ga slug or .308. Joe

Shoot a hard cast .500 Mag load at high velocity into water filled milk jugs and compare it to a .308 with a soft point slug and the .500 makes the .308 look like a wimp. Don

Great picture. I figure that's about like three 44 Magnums going off at once. You're a brave man. I am with the "No Thanks!" crowd. :)

I'd love to shoot it. It's an acquired taste but once you get used to shooting big revolvers there's no substitute for the fun factor.
