Overpriced 442

He's not upset about the customer wanting a deal - he's upset at the customer calling him a ripoff.
By all means, get the best deal but don't curse a man if he can't meet the price of the Big Box. :(

Exactly,
In fact it is a Forum Rule in most any forum, that if you don't like the price--Walk On, don't **** on a guy's store cause one or two of his guns seem overpriced, there might be a very good reason why. I can't control if/when a manufacturer decides to stab me in the back.

I started this thread as a comment about prices. Not to badmouth any dealer. Dealers are not in business to lose money. It was mostly just an observation and yes, I did "walk". No badmouthing. No negative comments to the counterman. This particular dealer has a large inventory of guns, especially used guns maintaining this is where he makes his money. Fine by me. I've bought new guns from him in the past..."fair" deals for me and "fair" profit for the dealer.

I did find a NIB "no lock" 442 for $348 plus sales tax at a "bricks and mortar" shop in the area. This shop has a much better "rep" with gun owners than the first dealer as well as "friendlier" customer service. Guess that's where I'll head to check out the 442.
