OZZY OSBOURNE HAS PASSED

Sorry but I don't think we lost very much musically speaking.
Yeah, you're right. Musically speaking, OZZY didn't create with Black Sabbath an entirely new genre of music nor did he influence generations of musicians. He never sold out stadiums, or go on world tours over the decades. He didn't even have an annual global touring multi-band music festival named after him. He never won Grammy's or any kind of award for his music nor did he have multiple gold or platinum albums solo or with Black Sabbath. He was a nobody.

RIP OZZY, you're part of the soundtrack of my youth.

I saw him in 1989, 1992, 1996, 1999 with Black Sabbath, Ozzfest 2003, '04 '05, '06, and '07, and the last time in 2018.

I had tickets, for the 1986 Ultimate Sin tour but my folks wouldn't let me go because I was too young. Metallica opened the show...Master of Puppets album.

OZZY OSBOURNE - "See You On The Other Side"

I only saw Black Sabbath once, it was I think 1978, and Van Halen was the opening act. Quite a show! I think maybe what was his final recording, Gods of Rock and Roll with Billy Morrison and one of my all time favorite guitar slingers, Steve Stevens was a fitting cap on his career. Great song.

I brought home a lot of great memories and left a few brain cells there. Both were worth it.

I have mentioned before that I worked part-time with the setup/teardown crew. I got to see many events due to my perks.

I can think of three concert that Kevin and I attended but we hadn't known each other yet.

Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper and Yes.

I have an older brother who turned me onto OZZY at a young age (9) and was hooked ever since.
I met OZZY If I remember correctly, at Record town in Norwood OHIO he was cool and signed my Randy Rhodes Poster. A family member dug it out of storage at my parents' house and sold it. I was able to track it down and the girl to this day refuses to give it back. I'm sure now I'll never see it again!

Ozzy sung a song called " You can't kill Rock and Roll" I think part of it died when he did.

R.I.P.

We moved to Norwood in 1966. It was a great place to live.

Sadly we moved from there two years ago as our neighborhood was being encroached upon and started to become blighted.

It was fun while it lasted.

War pigs! What a song lyrical genius. Was ozzy anti war? I think so! Rip
