pachmyer grip question

I am looking to put different grips on a round butt N frame. I want something that covers/cushions the back strap. I would also prefer subtle or absent finger grooves. Pachmyer has offered grips that fit this description but I am uncertain of the name, compac/professional/gripper/presentation/etc (too many to keep track of) I have medium to large hands. Any recommendations would be welcome.

The Compac is the Pachmayr model that covers the backstrap and has no finger grooves. They're pretty comfy on a RB N-frame, at least in my hand.

Thank you. I just learned that the grips S&W now puts on the new 629s are no longer the Hogue finger grooved grips I am familiar with- and the new grips cover the back strap.

Who makes these for Smith And Wesson and can they be purchased as replacements?

Herrett's made these round butt N-frames for my 627 snubbie. You don't have to get the finger grooves. I have an XXL mitt -- these are just the ticket.

Pachmayr had these grips: COMPAC, as in the pic posted above. The first model they produced was immediately a best seller for large frames, the PRESENTATION, similar to target factory grips. The DECELERATOR were made in a different rubber if I remember well. Then the GRIPPER , with a medium palm swell, in combat style with finger grooves. PROFESSIONAL COMPAC had open back for a best concealed carry.
For a N frame I suggest both Presentation and Gripper

Take a look at the Hogue Tamer grip. It does have finger grooves but also has a soft pad imbedded in the top rear that works pretty well. I have a set on my M629-4.
