Pair of 5" Pre-war N Frames with Law Enforcement Provenance

.357 Magnum SN 47138 REG 657. Owned by James C (Doc) White. Doc had quite the law enforcement career. Was a Texas Ranger, Austin, Texas police officer, mounted US Customs Inspector, 1st Lieutenant in US Army Intelligence (during WWI), Prohibition Agent and finally an FBI Agent from 1924-1947.

.44 Hand Ejector, 2nd Model SN 26184. Owned by Frank Gamblin. Frank was a Deputy Sheriff in Potter County out Amarillo way. Was also Amarillo, TX police officer for several years. He was about 46 when he bought the gun, so may have had earlier law enforcement experience.

I don't want to be wrong but in the .44 HE I seem to notice a very strange shape of the trigger guard!

Having a Doc White gun would be super cool. Having a Doc White Registered Magnum would be awesome!!
