Palmetto bugs

I've seen them all the way up here in Chicago, Illinois.

These have their own swimming hole.
I sent a copy to the manager of the place so he could show his exterminator. It was in the ladies bathroom, you can imagine how that would have gone over.

I understand about the exterminator, but what was the manager going to use to pry off the ceiling the last lady that had used that stall?:D

ladder, you need to be practical about these things.........those big bugs are a good source of protein. You can never tell when times will really get rough. I've heard they can be tasty when roasted. :D

Don

Ewwwwww! I hope I never, ever get that hungry!

Here, around the Myrtle Beach area, the Palmetto bugs aren't a problem. The rats keep them run off.

Hey I would rather deal with Palmetto Bugs then the darn Halyomorpha halys, (also known as the brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB)), just about nothing eats them and they infiltrate everything, and do stink when squashed, no they don't taste like chicken, don't ask how I know and in the fall cover by the thousands my back stone wall till they get into the house.
