Thats a shame. I didn't appreciate the presses spin "his car lost control". BS, he was driving over his head. The picture leads me to believe he was doing triple digits. Car was almost split in half.

I agree. Hope for the best for his family I grew up watching him when he stared in the movie Varsity Blues!

Never heard of him before this news story, but the report I read noted that he was the passenger. The attached photo showed a burned hulk that looked like it had been chewed up and spat out. Such wreckage usually indicates an extremely high rate of speed before impact and explosion.

We were shocked to hear about Paul's death. I feel bad for his 15 year old daughter.

That's a shame. That pile of wreckage suggests they didn't suffer.

Feel for his family. Too young to die but he obviously liked
speedy cars from his movies. Kind of sad to see him die that
way ( as a passenger) but passing at 40 yrs. old anyway is
a bad way.

TOO FAST, TOO MANY WANNABES

It just amazes me how much a dumb movie can influence an entire generation. every kid of that era with a ricegrinder puts some coffee can muffler and a spoiler on his beater and thinks he is ready to do the "Tokoyo drift" & street race. He wasn't the first victim nor the last. The driver must have had too much of the koolaide and tried to live up to the hype. Condolences to the families.
