PayPal warning

I don't understand why any 2a supporter would use paypal being as they are anti-gun.
WRONG!. Long ago, PayPal's legal team recommended it not be used for firearm/ammo purchases FOR LIABILITY REASONS. PayPal still allows for most gun parts to be eligible and to be used for MANY gun related items/activities as is evident by this forum and even ebay itself.

Just because an organization limits it's liabilities doesn't make it anti-gun!

If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck then it IS a duck.
I would agree IF, but when a company will let you use it's services to buy any one of literally thousands of gun parts and firearm related items listed online as well make donations to firearm related organizations, you certainly cannot say they look and quack like a duck.

Unless you have some really strange looking ducks...

I've used PayPal for over 15 years now, mostly for EBay purchases but prefer it whenever possible. I view it as an extra line of defense/protection when it comes to internet purchases and it came through for me last year when I was scammed by an ad pretending to be from Wayfair. PP refunded me with a month.

Family and Friends makes the sender pay the fee, not the receiver. Doesn't matter what the purchase is for. If they want to put such policies in place people just need to stop using it. I still have it as a last resort.

I don't use Paypal, as far as I know I don't have any paypal account, but since I have paid a contribution to the Forum, I now am getting an email every month to "Sign into my account" to get my statement. I have no idea how to sign into any account that I don't have, and just delete these emails.

Well I definitely do not have Paypal and I do not get a email asking to sign in. As a firm believer of the KISS philosophy I just send a check once a year!-:)

Their rules ,Play by the rules most if not all paypal vemo and others of the type will not allow purchase of GUNS,==READ the agreement to use their services .iIf you steel services by fraud or with a weapon YOU are a thief
How do you feel when someone steals from you.

As you already know. DO NOT TRY TO SIGN INTO PAYPAL!! This sounds like a "phishing scheme|" If you want to follow up I'll send you paypals phone number. They'll probably ask you to forward a copy of the suspect email to them. You should contact them anyway to check if someone opened an account using your stolen iinfo.

My credit Union no longer sells or cashes money orders. My Post Office very rarely cashes a money order over 200.00 dollars, and thats if it has enough cash in the drawer.

Also if a PO money order gets lost its a long process before it gets resolved.

At this point I would rather have a Certified check or a personal check. Paypal is just easier sometimes.

I avoid PO money orders. I had a forum member, career Army guy send back a 600.00 dollar money order, with 2.00 for my trouble. He decided not to sell. It was not about me, I paid what he wanted. I had to get the PO to cancel one, and issue a new MO in my name.

I also do no PayPal, Too difficult to deal with. 25 years ago, they wanted to get into my checking account. That was the end of that

A dude wired me $6,000.
I’m down on central near the Base - War Zone!
Now called the International Zone.
I see a Western Union sign on a local neighborhood Grocery.
Ask the manager can he check the system for my money.
It’s Here! I want it, Please!
He looks at me kind of funny and says, you don’t really think I have $6,000 here now do ya?
Well no. What do you got?
He had money orders. Small ones.
Took them into my local small bank where everyone knew me.
They did make fun of me!
We are just dying to hear how you got 60 Money Orders!

As JcMakc pointed out, this is most likely a scam. Look at the mailing address it came from. If it's really from PayPal, it will have a PayPal email address. Most likely has a gmail account and was sent to you by a scammer trying to get your information. I get about one a week from "PayPal", Coinbase, USPS, and the like, none with legitimate email addresses.

I think I'm missing something. I use PayPal to buy just about any kind of gun part you can think of, including hi cap magazines. I've also bought lots of gun stuff off of EBay. I understand their hi cap magazine position. I can only imagine what kind of legal action they would bring down on themselves if they started facilitating sales of them to people in Massachusetts and I'm sure they don't want to have to police where they are going. Not all corporate decisions are political. Sometimes they are just about being able to do business.

It's definitely a phishing scheme. Don't click on any links in the e mail. Go to the PayPal website and sign in from there so that you can look for odd activity. It's unlikely that there will be unless you gave them your log in info. You can also change your password, which you should do once in a while anyways. There's not much danger from those e mails so long as you don't follow any links or give out any information. I get them all the time and just delete them. I'm not sure I would bother sending the mail to PayPal.
