I read that so many people disliked the stock grips on the PC627 that I started a search of my own. My 627 is due in next week we think and I intend to give the stock grips a chance. I know we are all different and maybe they will fit my hand well. I did this search just-in-case. Hopefully it will help others. This thread I only linked:
-One thread from the forums
-One consistent bit of info I found which can be ordered from S&W
-And links to actual companies mentioned in all the threads I read which cater to the PC627

This is not a complete list I suspect of ALL possibilities but it should be a good starting point!

Good Hunting!

The Boot grips were a little small for my big hands so called S&W. Got the Grips which comes with the 5" 627. Lot better feel. My Ring & Little finger were just hanging off the Boot Grips. Now I can wrap the whole hand around the grip. If you're interested in the grip it is S&W SKU number: 414170000, and ran $49.00 from S&W.....They are S&W Product Code number: 414170000, & Just identified on the Invoice as: " N RD Walnut For Perf. Center "  n frame pc grip 800-331-0852

If you do not plan to carry concealed there may better grips. For concealed carry I find the stock grips perfect on my 627 w/2.625" barrel. They fit my largish hands (I am 6'1"), and have no problem holding the weapon steady with 510 ft. lbs. American Eagle .357 Magnum. My carry ammo is Buffalo Bore Short Barrel in either .357 Magnum or .38 +P.

The most comfortable grips I own are the Rosewood Hogues pictured on my TRR8. They are thicker than the rubber Hogues that deliver with a number of N Frames, and they would fit on the 627 but might appear overwhelmingly big.

I used Ahrends on mine (I use the same grips on my 686 as well). I love the look and feel of them, and I think they conceal pretty well.

I do plan to CC OWB and that is why I will give the stock grips a go first. Like you, I intend to use BB. I have 1 box each of the following arriving (most likely) tomorrow: 19E, 19F, 19G and 19H. Once the PC comes in I will see what it and I like the best.

Definitely on my list if I am not comfortable and confident with the stocks.

I switched the smallish grips out on mine....eventually went back to them as they conceal well, look good, are stock to the gun and I don't shoot 500 rounds at a time with them

The stock grips would fit me so much better if it didn't have the finger groove in it. I want to dremel it down but don't want to alter the stock grips in case I have to sell it down the road. I think I'm going to get some Ahrends but not sure how I will like the smooth grips. I hated the JM grips on my 625.
