Perfect storm for reloading 45acp?

Over 5 ft in the last 2 weeks. Another possible 18" tonight and tomorrow. National Guard called in. I have my area all cleaned up and just waiting for the hammer to fall again. I went to the gun club this morning. The road leading to the outdoor range had a 15 foot pile of snow in front of it. Guess no outdoor shooting until about April. I hate shooting indoors so I just paid my dues and went home. Going to be a long Winter.

Have fun wrenching. Post some pics if you can.

High today here was about 4 above with blustery winds making for wind chills around 20 below. Did a detail strip, clean and inspect of a new to me 60-4 as well as some work on a Garand.

Low tonight is supposed to be around 10 below with a single digit high again tomorrow. The plan is to spend some time at the loading bench putting together some .38s and whatever else I get the urge to load.

You know its cold when a day with temps in the 20s feels balmy...

Weather is holding in the mid to high 60's-but range is currently under about 4ft of water! Just about the time it starts drying out-more rain. I cleaned and recleaned my meager collection till there is nothing more to clean! Cabin fever is setting in!

Looks like the weather forecaster were wrong...shocking yes I know. Went to bed last night expecting 12"-18" of snow today. And wake up to a revised forecast of 2-5".

Yesterday, didn't get much time wrenching on the Nova. With the help of my father-in-law we: removed air cleaner, distributor, wires, battery, unmounted alternator and power-steering pump, drained and remove radiator, remover headers and exhaust and took off the driveshaft. Today, we plan on unbolting and removing the old 307 and power glide.

Good powder is slowly becoming available. Recently picked up 8 pounds (2 4 lb jugs) VVN310. Use it for .45, nice clean burn & very accurate in my 1911's. My only issue is whether to go shoot or go look for tarpon in the nearby canals. Life is tough in Florida.

I picked up 2 pounds of W231 on Thursday. Just added it to my collection. Today in the Pocono's it was about 2 deg and the wind blowing the snow made it miserable outside. I'm with those who cannot wait for spring.

You're just going to build the heck out of that old Nova so you can respond to powder sightings more quickly:P.

Brings back memories had one similar in high school.
