Performance Center 40 shield holster?

I've looked through the forum, Google and everywhere else but I can't find a solid answer. I'm looking for a IWB holster for every day carry for my performance center shield. Saw one person say the original shield holsters will fit but I called a holster company and they said it will not work. Any insight on this is greatly appreciated.

There are lots of threads concerning this and the end result is that it is a personal preference thing. You will see recommendations for every holster made and each person has a reason why they like each one, most have several that they have bought trying to find the best one.

I personally have a Tagua IWB that I bought because a local dealer had one. It works but it is not the most comfortable for me. I now have an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 3.0 on order as it has been recommended several times. I'll only know if it works for me after I try it for a few days.

Not concerned about the brand or anything like that. I just need to know which ones will actually fit the performance center model

It should fit in any of the holsters that the standard Shield fits.

I reread your op and you said that a holster company told you it would not work. What reason did they give? I've had both in my hands at the same time and I can't see any reason they would not work.

I was told the front sight on the performance center was a tad bit higher than the standard shield. I figured most would have a little bit of room to play with if you ended up changing sights at slater time, that's why it's kind of thrown me for a loop right now. I know most company's have a certain amount of time that you can return the holster if it doesn't fit my needs but I'm just one that would rather buy something correctly the first time.

Maybe on one particular holster it may be an issue but there is just not that much difference on the sights. If I were you I'd speak to some other companies. There are way too many Shield owners out there with all brands of sights installed. I'm sure they are not all carrying them in their pockets.

Do you have a lgs that would have any kind of holster in stock for the Shield? Our Academy here has a couple too. Take your Shield in and give them a try for fit. Then you'll know. I'll bet you won't have a problem.
