Anyone send their 3rd generation auto in to the PC for the $140 Action Package?

What was your experience?

I have a 3913 I want to send in: this will be my carry gun.

Thanks in advance.

It's been several years but I did send a 4003 in to the PC to have the action job done. It greatly smoothed up the trigger and reduced takeup. It was money well spent for a gun that I carry and shot a lot. I've still got this pistol, it is still one of my favorite 3rd generation pistols.

I also have a couple of Shorty 40s that have the most perfect trigger pull of any 3rd generation pistol I own. It's certainly worth the money if you intend to keep the pistol.

Atlanta_SW40: The action package is simply a trigger job that the performance center offers. It will reduce pull weight, takeup and make it down right smooth.

Cheers,
Sam

Did anyone use the 'Express Service?' I'm wondering if the price listed for it is the total price, or an added on price. In other words for the autopistol Action Package' with Express Service, is the total price $165 or $305?

How did you ship the handguns? It seems that could add quite a bit of cost to the total.

I am considering some PC work also.

I have a 66-3 that I sent in for the Master Revolver Action Package. It came back slicker and smoother than any revolver I've ever handled. They also chamfered the cylinder and put an overtravel screw in the trigger. The base package was $148, the Express Service added $36 which, IIRC handled shipping both ways. They emailed a UPS label for the outbound and also handled the return.

I e-mailed them about taking the rail off my 3953TSW and a "trigger job" and they quoted me $125. The AP must be a little more than just a "trigger job", or they're having a sale. :D
