Performance Center picture thread

All of the modern performance center guns I have seen have a S&W Performance Center logo instead of the usual S&W logo.

I'm not sure you can rely on the Performance Center logo.
Pro Series guns are listed as Performance Center products on the Smith & Wesson Web site but they bear the standard Smith & Wesson logos.
I don't think the Pro Series receive the same level of custom fitting and finish, but it seems Smith & Wesson considers them Performance Center guns.

Are there any markings that designate that a gun is a Performance Center model? I know mine isn't but if I run across a S&W that someone is telling me is a PC model is there a way I can know for sure other than the original papers that came with the gun?

All I know is that here are a couple of unique marks on my particular 627PC... Oh, and let me mention my 627PC arrived with a completely dry firing mechanism from the get-go. Had to DIY my own trigger job and lube. That said, it is NOW a nice gun, didn't like paying a premium for DIY trigger job on a Performance Center Gun.

FROM the S&W website:
"...Performance Center guns originate from standard designs or are created from the ground up. From hand-cutting and fitting to fine tuning for precision, these firearms are top performers. Products from the Performance Center are the ultimate expression of old-world craftsmanship blended with modern technology.
Features
• Chrome Flashed Teardrop Hammer
• Chrome Trigger and Trigger Stop
• PC Tuned Action
ALL BACKED BY OUR SMITH & WESSON LIFETIME SERVICE POLICY..."

My one and only, even it had to go back to them before it was done right.

I wasn't into PC handguns .....until I saw a 686+PC on another thread. It soon became my next grail gun. Had to have it, and I found a great deal. Always wanted an unfluted cylinder in a snub nose.

Couldn't help myself. The looks of the IL distracted from the beauty of this PC. It was my intention to rectify the offending wart when I purchased it, so............ I removed the IL & plugged it. :D :D :D

This is my 5th wartectomy. Thanks, Bullseye.

I would assume that this 442PC gun would count even if it is on the lower end of the performance center price point. I just obtained it from the original buyer and it is prestine condition. Trigger pull is really nice. So much so that I would like to have another one. Enjoy...
