Found a beautiful 3.5" pre 27 with a bright blue finish, supposedly Unfired, no box, magnas number to the gun. Nicest bluing I e ever seen on a revolver. The guy who sold it to me had some beautiful Smiths, not cheap but not overpriced, fair, which is more than I can say for most of the vendors there yesterday.

The seller had a beautiful 29-2 in presentation box Unfired with the tools, absolutely beautiful for $1850. He also pulled out a 19-2 2.5" Unfired for 1k, had the most beautiful case coloring on the hammer and trigger. I asked him where the 41 mags were and he said he left at home, thank god!

I always liked the .41. In the 70s bought two Smiths at Mark Fore Strike in Reno for my buddies. In Calif they were about double the Reno price. One was an 8" and the other a 6 if I recall. I had a Ruger .41 with a shorter barrel. I bought it for $60. Traded it for an 1895 Win saddle ring carbine. Found out later that the short barreled ones were valuable. Things were so much better in those days.

It's a really nice condition 27. I love the proud pins front sight.
You did great acquiring that Smith. Congrats..

Breadman,
Tell us about the show !

Where?
How hot?

# of tables
# of people

primers available and price?

High prices, but how high?

Prescut (Prescott, AZ)

That's one beautiful specimen, and a barrel length I have always coveted.
If you don't mind sharing, how much was the "reasonable" price on that gorgeous hunk of iron and wood?

The show was mostly overpriced, it wasn't the same size as the big one in December but decent, 3 large rooms total. I wasn't in the market for primers or reloading items so I didn't even look, plenty of other stuff to browse.

I paid $1400 for the pre 27

I would say you did pretty well on that beautiful 357 Magnum. The show I did this weekend in Marietta went well, although I didn't see a lot of great stuff coming in. Cobb County has a different crowd than most Atlanta shows. I did snag a pristine nickel 38 Combat Masterpiece that I will post later.

Congrats Breadman1 on "THE" 357 Magnum.
