Wow!! This one's never been done before.:D

I would pack my Model 19-3 4" along with my Rossi Trapper .357 16" carbine.

The only reason I would pack the .357/.357 rather than a Ruger/Rossi combo in .45 Colt is because of the weight and bulk of ammo. I would feel very naked without at least 1000 rounds, and 1K of .357 is a good deal lighter than 1K of .45 Colt.

My wife, of course, would be along, and she would pack a .22 magnum Ruger Single Six and a Winchester 9422 Magnum Trapper. And 1000 rounds of ammo.

If my daughter happened to be along . . . . . well, you get the drift.;)

My choice would be a 6" 686. The range of ammunition for 38 Special and 357 magnum is massive, plus I have a ton of ammunition on hand.

Tough to really narrow down. My 1st instinct would be my 29-2 6 1/2" .44, as it shoots mags, specials and shot shells. And I usually hit what I aim at with it, large game or small. But I wouldn't exactly be overly handicapped with a S&W .460. That huge round, as well as .45 Colt. You could handle the big and the small. But then there's my 25-5 6" .45 Colt. Not too much recoil, and will cover about all the bases. Still, I reckon I'd likely stay with the big M 29, as it will do about all needs doing. (Hopefully, my reloading kit is included.) And MORE hopefully, this remains a "what if" kinda question...

If I had to choose a revolver it would be the 27-2 4" Easy decision.

But on the other hand, if I had the choice of any of my handguns, I think common sense would point to my Glock 19 (and all the mags I could grab, including the 32 round mag). Sorry if anyone gets their feelings hurt.

Because when you need to head for the hills probability and possibilities have reversed.

Going about my normal daily rounds I want a revolver. When trouble is a high probability then that changes. Common sense would favor the semi-auto that is most versatile.

Easy answer. The US government spent lots of time and money testing
guns to find the best answer to this question. My Beretta 92FS 9mm
auto with several mags and a bunch of ammo.
