Picked up my new Shield Today

Got it off of PSA recently when they were running their special. Shipped from just up the road to my FFL. Excited to have it in my hands.

Cleaned, lubed and ready for the range this weekend to start its break-in!

Will be looking for recommendations for IWB holsters. Any opinions are welcomed at this time, thanks!

Enjoy that weapon. It is an amazing little gun that I suspect once you get used to it, you'll love it. Every time I practice with my 9 mm Shield I am amazed how well this little gun handles. Stock trigger gets really nice after about 200-300 rounds. As a carry, I won't modify trigger, no way, no need either. FOXX IWB that mimics Crossbreed is good price and product available on Amazon.

I put about 100 total rounds through two different 9 mm shields...one rental at my range and one that belongs to a colleague.

IWB Holster/Shield

I got a Talon IWB holster from talonholsters.com and am really pleased. It is essentially a straight drop and I usually carry in some form of appendix carry. It is leather and the outside is rough and the inside is smooth. The spring clip on the initial shipment was weak but was replaced by them and it works well with a belt or without for those times with shorts ,jeans, etc. when you`re in a hurry or just want to maintain that practiced sloppy look. They also sell inside -the-pocket holsters.

They have the .40 right now for $399 + $15 shipping. Smith & Wesson M&P SHIELD .40 S&W They had $359 on the 9mm, then went to $399, now back to $359 again through 11/25. I haven't seen them go any lower on the .40. I should be picking up my 9mm today!--Bob

I bought the Comp-tac Infidel and love it. very nicely made, good retention adjustment and mounting options. Haven't had the desire to even look at other holsters.

I ordered a Shield .40 from psa on November 12 for $359 and received it yesterday.
