I just made a large jar of pickled eggs and now I have to stand guard to keep my daughters from eating all of them. Two of the three daughters were here over the 4th and you would have thought I had a jug of diamond rings sitting on the counter. If I had known it was that easy to get them to come home I would have made a batch earlier.;)

Ya wouldn't have to worry about me. The only way I'll eat eggs is HATCHED , raised into tender young chickenhood , then fried or BBQ'd

I've eaten a few pickled eggs in my time. Usually, it was in combination with beer. Some of my least memorable sicknesses involved beer, pickled eggs, and Slim Jims.

The bouquet generated later does not generally meet with approval from the womenfolk, however.

You won't see a whole lot of diamond rings involved with the girls if they keep eating the eggs till their 20's. Especially if they turn into beer drinkers. No offense intended.

I believe the last time I enjoyed some pickled eggs and beer, I wound up sleeping in the garage!

I can see scientists under Kaiser Wilhelm brewing up mustard gas. "Lets see ...pickled eggs...Beer...beans, no not beans, .... Slim Jim's." "Ya Ya ich bin das formula"

We were thinking about inviting Larry The Cable Guy over and having a party. There's someone for everybody, even beer drinking, pickled egg eating women. :D

Larry had an hour show on Sat. or Sun.. I watched the whole thing cuz I think he's a riot. I have a "git r done" hat somewhere around here in the mess. Like I said no offense, "just funnin". Larry would only break out the eggs for special company.

I love pickled eggs! I went to a July 4th BBQ and one of the guests had brought a large plate of deviled eggs. I love those as well. I did my best to eat them all along with a peach cobbler.

Love pickled eggs as well as pickled bologna. My grandmother used to make pickled eggs with the juice from pickled beets, gave the eggs a purple color.

My recipe is 2 parts apple cider vinegar, 1 part water, and 1 part sugar. I throw in red beets, onion rings, and a garlic clove. No need to refrigerate. Can be used over and over, just keep adding beets, onions, and eggs. Goes really well with a braunschweiger, onion, swiss cheese, and rye bread sandwich.

My God!

I got "heartburn" just reading what goes into the jar to pickle those eggs..but I love a good egg that has been allowed to "cook" in those jucies..I add pickled veggies and peppers so I can dip into the jar for salad mixings..got to balance out the effects of the eggs..that garage gets mighty cold at night..all5x

Ahh yes....my Mother would make pickled eggs for Easter in what she called her "brain jar"....onions, beets and juices, and vinegar.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Brings back memories of a night in one of my favorite Dives "Beerjoint"
Eating Pickled Eggs with Lousianna Hot sauce and washing it down with San Miguel and Snappy Tom!

Next day we could "cut one" outside and Kill Grass!

Oh! back in the Day!

EWWWWWW! To each his own, but pickled eggs measure an absolute 10 out of 10 on my "disgustometer"

Whatsamatta U? Don't stray fingernail clippings and dislodged Band-Aids floating around among occulted ovoid objects in a jar of Devonian murk appeal to your refined culinary tastes?
