I just pulled her outta the pocket holster for these quick pics (so pardon any lint you might see!), but I did have a chance to run about 125 rds. of assorted FMJ and JHP thorugh her... The only ammo that sticks a little is WWB 115 FMJ...

All +P I have tried so far has extracted without issue.

I'm lovin' my first wheel gun :D

I searched for a long time for a 940 that was in great shape but wasn't priced ridiculously. To say that I am pleased with my purchase would be an understatement ;)

Regards,

Bones

I think that you will like that one.....the 940 has a fond following here....I'm not much for the 9mm myself, but I have the 640 in 357 mag and the 640-1 has one of the smoothest double actions of any centennial that I have held.

Enjoy your new carry gun.

OOPS! - Mod's please move

I just realized I put this in the wrong Sub-Forum - Meant to put it in the '1980-Present' Forum... Mods, feel free to move the thread - I apologize!

Regarding price.... I paid $399... So it was about $440 after PICS, transfer fee, and tax... I feel like I did about as well as one can reasonably hope :D

I am not sure the shop knew exactly what they had. I had been in communication with the original owner, and so I was able to snag it within a day of it hitting the FFL's shelves...

Regards,

Bones

$440 - you did good....what kind of mask did you wear? :D

That is an outstanding price, well done. I have a no dash that shoots very well. You can hone the charge holes to eliminate that stickiness and have a real slick revolver.

After much deliberation, I bought an ANIB grandpappy of that gun and I'm a fan of the whole Centennial family - except I've never shot the 9mm. Here's mine:
