I just bought this the other day, took her to the range today and snapped some intimate pictures of the Lady. Love her. Between the M&P Shield and my Glock 43 I think I have my carrying guns taking care of for CCDW. I had to put a few personnel touches on her though, just to make her mine

Looks nice! I have 300+ flawless rounds thru my PC 9 and just love shooting it.

Thanks guy's I really never wanted a ported pistol, but when I saw the liked it so well I bought it. Love it.

Protected One,
I carry her quite a bit in my pocket and would not want the TALON to catch my pocket. Plus my hands are small and do not want to enlarge my grip.

OP, what were your thoughts after spending some range time with it? I know how I feel about shooting mine , just like to see others' actual feedback and results.... sort of gives me some level to compare myself to and see where improvement may be needed.

I took my PC 9 to the range today for the first time. What a sweet shooting gun. A joy to shoot, but man, are those mag springs stiff! I could barely get the last round in each time. Darn near have a blister on my thumb from loading a 100 rounds.

It went bang every time though, and the magazines were getting a little easier toward the end.

if i may suggest, give the Uplula mag loader a try. I have one that was nice for using in my full size mags but really shines on my Shield ones. Not that i cant always load a mag, but when i'm at the range it's about running ammo thru my toys not standing there cramping up trying to load them lol

Hello
I just bought one myself
But what are those fiber optic sights ?
I was told it's very difficult to replace the raised iron sights

Thanks. I may do that if they don't loosen up some more through use.

Just bought a m&p core 9mm 5in barrel.this gun shoots fantastic with out using a red dot.

black hawk that is one of them on my list. But I will probably just buy the 5" one and not the core.
Ranger17, it shoots fine. I did not notice any flash problems was able to hit what I was aiming for at 15 yards. I really can't tell if the muzzle raises any less or not because it is the only Shield that I own and can't really compare it to my G43

Very interested in the Shield but those mags...

My shooting buddy and I are both lusting after the Shield but when we tried one we were very disappointed in the very stiff mags. We were lucky to get 5 or 6 rounds into the things by hand (or thumb). I still want the gun but am concerned about the mags. Some say they will loosen up if left full (assuming you can fill one) for "some time". Others take to Dremeling the follower. I might do the first, but if it takes the second approach I am less impressed by the engineering behind this critical component. What say those of you who have used the mags for a while?

In addition, give the MagGuts 9mm Shield kit a try. The kit makes room for about 1.25 more rounds, which gives more headroom to push in that final round (8 rounds in a 7 round magazine) AND more headroom to seat a full magazine! Works flawlessly.

I have a number of 9mm pistols and I have to say, the Maglula/ UpLULA makes all the difference when loading mags. Try it before ruling out the Shield...
