Recently discovered a new use for a pizza box before discarding into the trash....I use it as a mat on the counter when I am cleaning my handguns and then any spilled cleaners or over spray are in the box and not on my counter...also is handy when disassembling my handguns so that I can clean them. Screws, pins, whatever stay in the box as well. When cardboard is dirty or soaked, then I toss it....
Just a thought....

You are supposed to wait until the pizza is gone before you use! Couldn't figure out why my guns smelled like pepperoni...now I know.. LOL!

Randy,
Sounds like a keen idea. I'm guessing you put some news paper or something down in the box first...right?

I use to work at a pizza place and would keep the coarboard circles the pizza shells came with.I would hang them from tree branches with string as targets. When the wind blew,it gave you a moving target.thats how I use to practice with my 686.gunnut2u

What about all the grease and other narly bits of Pizza gradoux left stick to the cardboard???

Cajun, do you remember that old radio ad in the early 60s for Dr. Kissners mouth antispetic? I was working in louisianna in 1963 and heard it on the radio often. Wondered what the big deal was and one of my guys explained that everybody drank it for the alcohol!

Once I found some business' magnetic side that had fallen off a vechile. I turn it magnetic side up when working on small items and leave turn the other way as a work pad. Does great

For dis-assembling a Firearm I staple a length of Duct Tape at both ends onto a piece of cardboard or wood.
Each part or screw is put on the Duct Tape as taken off in a row. When re-assembling reverse the row.
This keeps the parts or screws from hiding/lost.

I use pizza boxes when I change the oil in my truck. I put the black oil catcher in the box and put it all under the truck. The box catches what misses the oil catcher. Which, the way I do it is usually more than makes it in the oil catcher

It is Dr. Tischner's and it was 75% alcohol with a healthy dose of peppermint extract-not for the faint hearted

I like to dissasemble my guns in a big box with a lid; it makes them so much easier to carry to the gunsmith's that way.

OH NO DOES THAT MEAN PIZZA WELL BE HARD TO GET NOW! I CAN SEE IT NOW ONLY ONE PIZZA BOX PER CUSTOMER AND THERE AS A NEW 400% TAX ON IT BECAUSE THERE IS A STORTAGE ON CARDBOARD! I HAVE BEEN USING THEM FOR TARGETS FOR YEARS LOL!!!

I work with a guy who does something similar, except he's anal retentive about it. While he was working on a large pump assembly, I discovered his cardboard with all the bolts in order...and numbered...and clean as a surgeon's scalpel.

I scrounged up three similar bolts from a dead pump. I cleaned and numbered them and placed them on his cardboard. Several weeks passed before he got the parts needed to re assemble his pump. Several extra days passed before he could admit to having parts left over and needing "Somebody to take a look at this, 'cause I just can't figure it out".

I use my pizza boxes as target backing. They work pretty good and when they get shot up, I just patch them with another piece to repair it. I use the 50 meter bulls-eye paper targets so the backing prevents limp................. paper

I tape the corners up and fill the box with concrete mix. Cheap stepping stones.
