Does anybody make Plastic S&W Combat grips in RD or SQ butt that can be painted ?

There is an old company named "rodgers" (I believe) - they made a plastic fingergroove grip that is very comfortable.
They show up frequently for sale on the internet and shows and are usually pretty cheap.
I'm sure the surface can be roughed up and then a good Krylon paint used.

I looked on Google , couldn't find a site for Rogers.....I found people sell old sets of Rogers grips. Are they still in business ?? If anyone has a link please send it........ Thanks

There's a guy on ebay selling relatively inexpensive plastic grips he's made for the Colt Python. Do a search for python. Maybe he can fix you up with a set of Smith grips.

Keeping in mind that paint has trouble adhering to many types of modern plastics, and even when it does the paint won't be very durable due to wear, here's some plastic S&W grips.
Some are laminated wood, but this is wood injected with a polymer and it's very dense and more like plastic than wood:

If I'm not mistaken Duplicolor makes a paint specificly for plastic. I believe it has a special solvent that will actually etch the surface of the plastic making the paint adhere better.

vintagegungrips.com makes a plastic molded set of the round butt magnas for the K-frame, as well as j-frame grips. I don't know if they currently make a square butt magna, but they are always adding new stuff to their catalog.

I used a set of their grips on a Ruger Service Six and I love them. They come in pretty much any color you would want.
