All, I received a "Grass Roots" email today from the NRA. In the email they talked about a feature on the NRA site to send messages to elected officials. I strongly encourage everyone to start an email campaign. The feature really automates the process. You enter your zip code and it tells you all of the related elected officials (Senators, Congressmen) both at the national and state level. You really only need to type your message and hit send. It only takes a couple of minutes to send out a few emails. Probably would be good to send emails to each of your officials every several days to remind them how important it is to find real solutions and not just political ones. You can even send an email to the President. I am sure he won't ready them, but they will be looking at numbers on each side of the issue.
Please reach out to everyone you know that may be inclined to join the NRA. My wife had been putting it off, but she signed up today. I really believe a significant increase in memberships will help to remind our politicians just how important the 2nd amendment is to us (and to their future in politics).
