Plinker Tactical 35 Round Magazine

Can't say how they perform yet. But save your money on the load assist tool. I use the flat end of a bamboo skewer with no problem.

I bought four (4) Plinker Tactical Mag S&W M&P 15-22 22 Long Rifle 35-Round Polymer mags and they work great in my M&P 15-22 (Model 811033).

Fired off hundred or so rounds of several brands, CCI Stinger, Aquila Interceptor, Federal American Eagle and Champions (NOT including Remington Golden Bullet bulk), which the mfgr says not to use in the M&P 15-22 - at least my (Model 811033).

Had only one (1) FTE and no other problems.

Good luck!

That's a recommendation, not a prohibition - and it's several years outdated. There's nothing wrong with shooting Remington ammo in your 15-22. It's no worse than any other ammo on the market, as many, many forums members will attest.

Took 3 Plinker Tactical mags shooting today.... Ran 700rds through them without any problems with my new 15/22 and my old 15/22

I took my PT mag out again today and it worked as intended. I bought A Outers 28" Rifle Cleaning Rod from Wallyworld (4.95) cut it to length and flipped the handle upside-down. Bent it to somewhat the same curvature as the mag. The threaded end is big enough for the tip of the follower tab to go in just a tad and not slip out while you're 30 rds in loading it.

My PT mag works fine so far... 140 rounds of CCI Mini Mag without a single failure. I must have gotten a good one

I loaded mine by hand and let them sit for 2 weeks, then didn't have a single problem with either mag. Really like the cleaning rod mod. Will give it a shot this week.

Another 105 flawless rounds through mine today. It has yet to have a single failure with CCI Mini Mag ammo.

I tried out 1 of the 2 Plinker Tactical 35 rd magazines I bought the middle of Feb.
Haven't been able to go to the range until now because of medical issues.

Loaded it a total of 4 times with 25 rounds.
1st try,tried charging the chamber 3 times,jammed all 3 times.
Emptied the mag by hand and reloaded it.
2nd try,tried charging the chamber 3 times,jammed all 3 times.
Emptied the mag by hand and reloaded it.
3rd try, tried charging the chamber and on the 3rd try it finally chambered a round, was able to send 23 rounds downrange.
4th try was a repeat of the 1st and 2nd try.

Set the PT mag to the side and loaded my 25 rd S&W mag.
Went thru 300 rounds with the S&W mag without a flaw.

I'll be taking these PT mags back to my LGS to see about a refund.
Bummer. :(

Brand new M&P 15-22 and new TP mag. Put 35 rounds in mag. Fired my first rounds with 25 round smith mag then the TP, all rounds fired flawlessly. Shot 3 clips of 35 no problems

Mine has been flawless as well. I'm beginning to think there might have been an early batch of mags that was F*U*B*A*R and they corrected the issues in subsequent production runs.

I agree. Put a full mag through both 15/22 and 15/22p with nary a problem.

Bummer.

Yea they $uck, why bother w/ that junk when you can get ProMags or of course OEM.
I have 2 FDE still in the open packages they were sent in:rolleyes:, when our little show rolls around this summer I will trade this **** for what ever it will bring to a table operator, I refuse to pawn this trash off on another forum member:)

Went by my LGS today to see about a refund for the 2 PT mags I spoke of a few posts earlier.
They offered to exchange them or a refund. I opted for the refund,I'll wait for OEM S&W mags.
They did mention to me that they have had good luck with the PT mags with no bad reports.
Couldn't prove it by me.

That's what PT's customer service will tell you, too. :D

read on another thread that the PT mags have a little extra meat up top, if you compare it with a S&W mag, right where the rim of the bullet meets the mag. File, sand or grind, a bit of that meat down, cant remember what they said, but just a shave and it should feed perfectly. I have noticed in just manually cycling a couple of rounds to see the difference, PT mags are a little tougher, but problem can be solved

I just ordered a 2nd 35 rd mag from PlinkerTactical.com. They are awesome, solid well built. No exposed spring & no load assist button. They also sell a load assist tool that works on all 15-22 mags. Mags are 29.99 & load assist is 7.99. Shipping was 10.00 and some change. You can also get the mags from ammotogo.com. for 25.99 with same shipping charge.

Received it and loaded it up with 35rnds. Let it to set for three days and today we reloaded it 4 times without any issues. Once empty the bolt locked back, It was harder to load then the 25rnd S&M that came with the gun. After the first reload I stopped counting how many I loaded and just loaded and b/s with friends between rounds and I didn't even notice that it was full so the springs IMO are not that tight. I did use a bamboo stick to load the first 35rnds when it came in.

Looks like the later models are proving to be much more reliable than the early batches.
