I was searching around for a plus 2 adapter for my M&P9c. No one makes them. But I found that some are using the Mec-Gar Plus 2 adapters that are intended for other guns.

I have 2 of these already on my Beretta mags so I tried them and lo and behold they work perfectly.

So Now I have both of my 12 round mags with these adapters making the gun 14+1 which is awesome.

The adapter also makes a perfect pinky rest... and the side of the adapter gives your hand a bit more to grip onto as well. And because the adapter does not go all the way to the rear it doesn't print any more than the OEM pinky extension.

You can get these at various places but the place that always has them in stock and happens to be the cheapest is gregcotellc.com.

I am not affiliated with him in any way. His page even states that people are using these for M&P.

I do not know if these will fit different calibers.

Cool. I'm curious if these will work with a FS 40 mag.

Thanks for posting, just ordered one hopefully it will actually make the flat bottom compact mag useful to me

Very nice. Great find...

They will work with 40 mags too, but you might have to grind down the follower legs to get two rounds more to fit...

Yeah. Modify that follower and tack on that aftermarket floorplate for the sake of 1 or 2 extra rounds. This thread should be entitled "how to turn your reliable factory magazine into an exploding ProMag"...

After this modification is done all you'll have to worry about is whether your "new" magazine is going to blow it's load out the bottom on the range or while you're casually going about your business with it concealed...

Uh, wrong.

I have 4 very reliable Taylor Freelance mag extensions on my 40 cal M&P mags. 20 rounds of 40cal/mag is a good thing...

I also have two very reliable Taran Tactical mag extensions for my FS 9s. 23 rounds of 9mm/mag is a good thing...

No reason these won't work great as well...

As the OP I suggest you read my post again. I didn't say the follower needed to be modified in order for two rounds to fit the 9mm... someone else said that may be required for two .40 calibers to fit.

The retaining "wings" on the tube are the same size as the mags this "plus 2" was indicated for. This part is made by Mec-Gar, there's no reason to think it will fail the way a Pro Mag part fails as demonstrated in another thread.

Wow thanks hillbilly that is really cool I didn't know that. I never even load up the flat bottom 12 rounder as I hate shooting without my pinky one the grip. Was actually looking To buy a pinky extension, one more reason you gotta love s&w's service
