I tried this product and am very happy with the results. I have a "frosted" model 15-3. I wanted to improve the looks of it so I followed the instructions on the tube and was amazed at the results. Very easy, basically just wipe on and rub off with a soft cloth. Here are some before and after pics.

Thanks for the comments, I was amazed at how easy it was to use. If I put more time and effort on this gun I believe it could be polished to perfection. Here is another pic with a knife I picked up at a yardsale last Sat.I cleaned up the blade and guard on it.

Combat-

Who made the knife? I can't read the blade. I use Simichrome to polish hilts/guards on knives and to remove small scratches on stainless blades and guns.

I don't know how it compares to this Mother's Mag polish that some mention. It does take some elbow grease and time unless you're just polishing off surface scum, as you seem to have done.

Nice gun! I'm glad that you restored its proper appearance.

On the side of the knife you can see it says,Original Bowie Knife on the blade and next to the hilt it's got Sabre Solingen. On the other side,it's marked, American Knife Co. Germany.Paid $10.00 for it. It seems to be a well made knife.

I think I've seen those. Apart from the flashy inscriptions, they looked like good knives, perhaps made on contract by Linder Messer. Apart from the cheap-looking guard, it's probably a good knife, and an excellent value for ten bucks.

Back when it was probably made (late 1950's-late '60's), the West German mark was less valuable than the US dollar, so many knives from Solingen were bargains here.

Combat, you did a great job! I used to use that stuff YEARS ago. I just cleaned up a 67 no dash with Flitz. Looks good now, but yours looks better. The grips and T-Grip really add to it also. Bob

Nice !!! I've been using it for many years now. You be surprised how long a tube will last if you use it sparingly.
