Pocket Holster

I appreciate all the information. It's warm weather now and no cover garment. I feel that a pocket holster will prevent premature holes. Leather soaks up moisture, so a synthetic is what I will shop for.

The only pocket holster I have any experience with is a Sticky brand. Seems to work pretty well.

I recommend the Desantis Nemesis Pocket Holster. I use one for my Ruger LCP and it's excellent.

A vote for the Galco horsehide front pocket model. Quick break in period. Hides well. Stays in pocket when drawing firearm. Wears well. Using one with a 642. Recommended 100%.

The Uncle Mikes/ Blackhawk #4 has worked for me forever. I tried a couple others but, always go back to the Uncle Mike's. I don't know how old they are but, they work for me.

I wear jeans also and have had a Mika holster for many years. I have not noticed moisture getting through to the 642. Since you have decided on synthetic, let us know where you land.

My EDC is a 649-2 and I use Mika round for suit pants, Mica square for Levis and a DeSantis Nemesis for larger cargo type pockets. If I had to cut it down to only one i would use the DeSantis for everything since it has a small pocket attached for speed strips.

I have used several different ones for my J frames.
Some expensive, some not. The best one for me is the
DeSantis. It stays in the pocket and doesn't ruin the finish.

IMHO the DeSantis Nemesis is about the best there is. Comfortable, moisture proof, durable inexpensive, super lightweight, covers trigger and is easy to draw. Breaks up the shape of the gun
