Kinda sorta

I got mine in a little before the weekend. Does that count?

Placed my order for 2 7-round mags, a 6-round mag, and a few other "essentials" late Thursday evening. Then, at about 11:45pm on Friday night, Larry dropped me a quick note to say that my order was ready and would ship out. Man, that guy sure must work long hours! :D
 
Ordered two 17 round 9mm mags this morning @7:50 EST!

Midway must have gotten a dozen truckloads of mags. I just looked and they are still available. This makes up for the fact that I had to return my 45 acp XD-S yesterday for a recall. Interesting weekend!

Stock out again!

It's 4:12 PM EST and they are stock out again! I'll look in a couple of hours to see if the cycle started again!

I bought 2 9mm mags early on but missed the boat on the .40 mags, still a bit bitter about that, but as I've been saying mags are on their way!
 
I bought 6 extra 15 round 40 mags they day of the shooting back in Dec. I now have 10 mags for 2, 40 M&P's. I will be looking for a few more mags but will wait for the mags to show up at the LGS
 
So the 15 rd .40 mags were available? Not anymore - at least not on Midway's website. Not even to backorder. I would like to buy a couple before I can't anymore (October 1 in Maryland).

Yes, They made my weekend and at one point or another had everything on my punch list (time for a new list!).
- 17rd 9mm mags,
- 15rd .40 mags,
- 7rd .40 Shield mags,

Thanks to the 9mm mags I was able to add in the Storm Lake conversion barrel. As noted by others Larry worked through the weekend for me as well, all items show shipped.

Only the 7rd shield mags are left and interestingly they just marked them down by $3 as a clearance item. Now $29 ea.

In a conversation with S&W CS about a month back they said that shipments would be going out to Midway, Cabela's and Brownells. Maybe the C & B are getting shipments also and Midway just beat them to market with the order. I wouldn't take the CS reps comment to the bank but it might be worth watching the other sites if needed.
 
More 9mm FS M&P magazines became available this morning (Tuesday). I broke down and bought one just because I can. I bought a .40 FS M&P magazine over the weekend. It's hard to pass them up after the shortage even thought I technically do not need them.

Midway sold "thousands" of 9mm 17rd mags this weekend.:eek:

I spoke with Midway CS this morning about an item, while on the phone they pulled up my 9mm mag order, here is how it went...

Me: Do you know how many of these that you actually sold this weekend?
CS: "In the hundreds"
Me: Only in the hundreds not the thousands?
CS: "Let me check somewhere", click, click, (typing) "OH MY, Actually it is the thousands".
ME: Are you able to disclose the actual quantity?
CS: Let's just say thousands.


I'm thinking our little poll has only a fraction of our forum members actually voting. But it killed some good time this weekend!

I was calling about FDE, 9mm Mag Butt Plates S&W P/N 399900000. If anyone has a source it would be appreciated. Since these mags are being used for a 40-9 conversions I thought that it would help identify them as my 9mm mags.

Color coding is actually a brilliant idea, I might do the same with mine. A S&W rep told me at the beginning of August to "check Midway & Brownells this month" and told me a ton of mags would be shipping. I had confidence the entire time we'd see them... Now if Brownell's will hurry up and get their share! :D

... I do think this is the tip of the iceberg, Smith listens to consumers, I'm sure they've had many thousands of calls and E-mails from frustrated customers about the mag situation. I'm pretty sure production numbers have increased substantially.

Bought 2 17 rounders from Midway and 3 from another source, since I didn't have any. Now I don't need to buy any more...

With "in the thousands" of 9mm mags sold this weekend and they're now back in stock again, it makes me wonder if S&W has a new vendor to produce OEM mags to supplement Mec-Gar as previously speculated.
 
Makes me think I should have waited for the second go round and got them for cheaper...
