I'm only 59, but because of poor health I'm more like 75. I'm worried how this will affect my shooting but right now I'm shooting well because I have more patience.

This poll does explain why I like it here, I don't have a lot in common with my generation. Don't have Facebook, a smartphone, a video game system .................

me neither....no FB,just a plain old dumb phone and Verizon keeps textn me to upgrade to a free smart phone....don't need one.......but a video game system....you bet....that Atari still works and I almost got it figured out how to get that chicken across the road

I'm wondering if the OP is so young that he didn't realize members over 61 can (mostly) still walk and talk and take nourishment by themselves and that most of us aren't wearing Depends (all the time anyway)?

I turned 60 on sept 30 this year. Was raised up as a Military Dependent, was in the Army twice myself, only 5 years service total. So I have traveled a lot in my life, seen a lot too.I am still in "decent" health, the Wife and I are "Semi-Retiring" next year, we plan to shoot & travel quite a bit while we can. We don't have much money, but we like to pay our own way. A wise friend of mine, said stay active & don't get lazy! I hope I can follow his advise.Regards Ernie

Had to switch that to " young enough to remember what I used to do when young enough to do it anyway"

Now it takes me several times out the door, before I remember everything I was going out the door to do.

And yes I still have a land line with a working rotary phone.

59 for another 19 days. I've seen $0.19 a gallon gas and a number 1 hit by Elvis.

I remember $.16 a gallon for gas in Phoenix AZ. in 1961 while working at a gas station. Price war with new station across the street. Boss was tearing his hair out every time they lowered their price.

We have a LL as there is no cell service up here. My wife has a cell phone that she leaves in her car, I do not own one.

We also have a rotary on my desk for emergencies as all our other phones (Cordless) need electricity to work. Rotary still works well but takes a extra few seconds to dial out.

We do have a portable generator but I run it on and off, and if it’s off the rotary still rings and we can dial out without generator. Hey it works for us!
