Pondering Thought -- What is Life

I'm glad you enjoy the country, but it's not for us. We don't mind visiting the country but it's always good to get back home. :)

Our bank and Dunkin Donuts are walking distance, half a mile. The grocery store, three quarters of a mile. A major hospital, one mile. A beautiful State Park in the middle of the desert, 3 miles. Most of our doctor and lab testing facilities, 10-15 minutes. Excellent buffets, 20 minutes. World famous restaurants, 30 minutes. Seeing a concert with Rod Stewart or John Fogerty, 30 minutes. If we want mild weather during the winter we stay home. If we want snow, wind, and a ski camp, a half hour drive to the mountains.

It does not take me very long to ponder what Life Is.

You know, there is a middle ground between the two extremes in that meme.

I love to visit New York City...but I would never live there.

And I love to visit my friend who lives in the middle of nowhere in West Virginia...but I would never live there either.

I live in a town of 10,000 in northeastern Maryland. I have all the conveniences of city life, with few of the headaches. People are neighborly and polite, there's little-to-no violent crime (hasn't been a homicide in many years), and it's clean and quiet most of the time. I've lived here half my life, and I love it... :)
