Post Movies you like here thread

For starters

Godfather I
Godfather II
The Ten Commandments
Spartacus (not NJ)
Forest Gump
Anything Eastwood minus the girly ones.

I'll just mention my all-time favorite: Wild Bunch.

The thing that sticks with me is their total disregard for all the civilian casualties they cause directly or indirectly.

And finally, when they realize their time is past, they march straight into hell without ever looking back.

I have many favorites I like but it strains my brain to try to remember them all.

"Running Scared" is on now. Fun little flick.

Danny Costanzo:
"Hablo Smith and Wesson. You have the right to remain DEAD. Anything you do will be used against you. You have the right to a coroner. If you cannot afford one, we will appoint a medical examiner for you."

Perhaps my favorite old movie is "Deliverance", probably Burt Reynolds best.Terrific book also.
Excellent movie that slipped past many "All the Pretty Horses".Another great book.Covered every human emotion and some good gun work, beautiful scenery ( including Penelope Cruz).
No Country for Old Men.Ditto for the book.
Hell Or High Water a recent great movie.
Of course "Unforgiven" with Eastwood.

Also for Robert Duval fans try " The Great Santini ".No, it isn't about a circus performer, which caused the movie to fail at first due to lack of interest.
It was about a hard case Marine fighter pilot and his dysfunctional family and Duval carried it off beautifully.
Written by Pat Conroy based a It on his father.

I don' t if it can be found but I enjoy Charlton Heston in Omega Man.

Just finished watching "The Last Castle" with Robert Redford. It's a good one. " A life unfinished" is also another good one.

The City of Lost Children. A strange and somewhat disturbing science fiction/science fantasy film from 1995. Ron Perlman is probably the only person you'll recognize in it.

I didn't post a link to it, just the trailer. If you haven't seen it, I wouldn't want to spoil it for you with advance information about the plot.

Take a look at "The Physician" on Netflix. 11TH century story of medical procedures in Persia of the era. Not a documentary, but a pretty cool drama with Ben Kingsley.

"The Right Stuff". I grew up in Florida when the space race was happening.

"Forest Gump"

"Caddy Shack"

"Animal House"

"Airplane"

Pretty much anything by Mel Brooks.

"T 34" Recent release from Russia on Prime. About single T 34 destroying half the German Panzer corps. Lotsa Computer generated action but the German Panzer III's and Panthers appearance is right on. I've watched a lot of Russian WWII movies an this one like all of them incorporates a lot of romance at the front. I gotta believe the Ruskies have more German salvaged WWII armored vehicles and tanks, etc. than any other country. It is a pretty good movie but it's no where near "Fury" for story line and realism.
