Post War M&P pics

I bought this gun recently. M&P with 5" barrel. I bought it as a shooter, have to get the correct grips and a holster still. What do you all think? S/N C 103XXX.

Dang that just put me over the top! Now I need a 5" M&P. Nice gun, should make a fine shooter. It appears to be in excellent over all condition, without a doubt should shoot as good as it looks.

The pictures do not reveal all the flaws in the finish. It is perfect for what I wanted, a nice older S&W in 38 spl. I have looked at some model 10s, thinking that is what I wanted, but this one called to me. The 5" barrel is definitely different from the 4 or 6". I do think it would look better with correct grips, but the ones I have seen locally are pretty well worn.
