3rd Model -32 Long - looks to have been chromed/re-chromed. Also, perhaps re-barreled since it has RP grip and barrel very slightly off center to left.

Obtained Jinks letter in 70's but can't find it :(

(Camera and photographer both less than laudable :)

good grief! i found one! today! i have literally been looking for one of these for nearly 10 years, and this is only the second one i have run across. the first one was awful rough, and i was out of state, so i had to leave it there.

this is a 5 screw (has the triggerguard screw, also), and the grip serial number matches, so it came with the magnas. man, i am happy!!! it is not perfect, but it is pretty nice. i guess blind persistence pays off eventually!

Congrats ed, magnas and half-moon sight, what a score!
Ask and ye shall receive...
My Terrier came about the same way, first one I ever saw for sale.

The lower gun is a .32 Hand Ejector modified I-frame on which I replaced the magnas to save them from wear and tear. It is serial No. 5957xx and lettered. It was shipped December 11, 1952 to Shapleigh Hardware Co., St. Louis, MO. It is diminutive and a true pocket revolver. The other revolver is a M&P from 1952 for size comparison. T44

ar15ed,
Nice snag , good job!
Here's what i've been blessed with, courtesy of a couple of
fine people here on the forum.
On the left, a pre-30,
and on the right, a pre-32.
This thread sure brought out some nice ones!

I'm new but was told on here that this is a 32/38 terrier Pre-model 32. Is this an I frame like you were wanting? Serial number is 72xxx and model number is not on the gun. Was told on here that puts it between '48-'53. It shoots .38 S&W CTG.

Marcus, let me help you with those images. You need to put the tags
before and after each link to make the actual pic show up in a forum.

Kewpie, I think you called it. That's a Regulation Police, and it has to be a replacement barrel. Yes, the gun has been renickeled; the giveaway is that hammer and trigger are both nickel-plated. The factory never did that, instead leaving those pieces with case coloring on them.

The pics of these guns have really whetted my appetite, particularly the two posted by ar15ed. I have K and L snubbies (even an N, if you count 3" barrels), but I don't yet have a classic two-inch .32 HE. I guess I need to start keeping my eyes open.

Nice pieces, guys. :)

You're right, David. The cool factor of these little small frame snubbies is high, and the fun factor shooting them is even higher. I got my .32 by dumb luck, but now it is making me look for a big brother .38 Terrier or an elusive 2" RP in .38 S&W. I wonder if I could find a 2" barrel for my .22 cal HFT? Now that would be interesting!

Seeing all the good things on this thread, though, I don't know whether to be encouraged because they are there, or discouraged because you guys seem to have already snapped up so much of the supply! I'm beginning to really regret selling off my old Baby Chief about 15 years ago when I should have known better! :(
