Wow. Lots of good food!
Kozmic, that pizza looks amazing. Can you PM or post a recipe? I grilled and smoked pizza last night, will post pictures today.
Thanks Hobbyist, that was nice of you to say.
No big secrets. I generally buy pre-made pizza dough from our local Wegmans supermarket and split it in half and toss them for (2) 13" pies. It's just easier than making the dough from scratch!
I heat the stones with the grill so they are really hot when the pizza goes on.
We make pizzas quite often and use whatever we have here for ingredients. The fresher the better!
The red pizza on the left is just herb and grated cheese, pizza sauce, fresh mozzarela, fresh basil from our herb garden and thin-sliced tomatoes. The white pizza is a mix of EVVO and hot pepper infused olive oil, fresh grated parmesano reggiano, herbs, mozzarella, raw ****ake mushrooms and a bit of basil. More of our topping will come from our garden later in the season. What you didn't see is a handful of raw, fresh spinach went on both about 1 minute before I pulled them off the grill.
They cook fast and the crust stays airy and very crispy.
You're looks pretty darn good as well. I'm not ready to toss the shell directly on the grill!!!
EDIT>>>> I forgot the most important ingredient...lots of thin sliced garlic is a must!
Good eating my friend!
