Here is one more McGivern K-22 that I had forgotten about. The short story is that the gun letters as being shipped to Ed McGivern. Years later it wound up in the McGuinn family of Casper, Wyoming, and eventually with USAF Major Richard McGuinn. Ray Brazille purchased the gun from Maj McGuinn in 1993, when he was ill and in poor health. Maj McGuinn was stationed in Norway, and involved in the negotiations for the release of Francis Gary Powers. Here now are more of the details.
The first two pictures are the K-22. The gun is nearly 100%, with some oil smears in various places. The lighting is not kind to oil smears.
The next picture is the last page of the factory letter.
This next image is two separate letters, from Ray Brazille to me. The first letter documents how the gun came to Maj McGuinn, but Ray was asked not to disclose Maj McGuinn's name. A week later, Ray apparently received permission to tell the rest of the story, as he knew it.
The next picture, from the National Personnel Records Center in St Louis, is Maj McGuinn.
This last picture is burial information for Maj McGuinn. Apparently he is buried in Arlington National Cemetary, and there is a marker in the McGuinn family plot in Bethany Cemetary in Hallett, Oklahoma. Hallett is about 60 miles west of Coweta Ok, where Ray lived.
Regards, Mike Priwer
