PPC 9 Ramblings

I know I've already shared this email reply from Roy Jinks but it says it all. Unfortunately.

The disconnect between S&W historian has been ongoing for years.

There was a S&W PC semi auto for sale that seemed to be an odd configuration, Talked to S&W historian and was told that is not how the gun was shipped.Latter confirmed with a letter.

Talked to Tom Gordon in the PC and yes he confirmed the build from his records.Yes I still have the gun, and also know of one in the same configuration that is a consecutive serial number.

Also know of prize guns that S&W would provide for matches in the 90's that would not match any S&W SKU #

I sent a PPC pistol back to S&W a couple of years ago and was happy with the job they did. I guess I got lucky. It is too bad that they are no longer in the game. I also sent a Colt Python made in 1958 to Cylinder and Slide a couple of years ago and was happy with their work. It took 14 months on the waiting list to get it in to them. I hate to hear that they are retiring. Who is BMCM and Guzzitaco. I would appreciate some contact info on someone good with PPC's and guns in general. It's good to have someone to go to in case something need help. Thanks.
