Prayer request

February 11th 2014 update: I have the results from my cancer doctor regarding my biopsy.

I have some lymph nodes in my body that are benign but they will have to be surgically removed because the can become cancerous.

The Latin Medical name for them is Teratoma and their on the right side of my body and some of them are near my Aorta.

I will be have surgery to remove the stuff as soon as a surgery date can be set and I will post the date.

The surgery is an abdominal surgery and its major and once it is done I will have to have to take a break from the forum. But once I am all healed up I will come back please continue to pray for me.

Good news Matthew, prayers continue.:)
My brother had a benign brain tumor almost 2 years ago, it was removed, and he's not suffered any ill effects since.

Continued prayer from my little piece of Texas. May God rest His hand on the shoulders of those caring for you.

This is good news, Matthew, and prayers for your surgery and recovery are headed skyward. I know our Father is holding you in His hands and is hearing all of our prayers. He is in control of the situation, and his Will is perfect. Trust and abide in His love; He is everlastingly faithful.:)

February 17th 2014: I had my latest doctor's appointment today and the news is really bad. Here my lymph nodes situation the surgery that they would need to do is major abdominal surgery and I would have to stay in the ICU for 1 or 2 weeks and there would be major recovery time and there's a chance I could die on the operating table.

If they do nothing with my lymph nodes I could be fine and live to a ripe old age and here is the 3rd possibility the lymph nodes could turn into cancer and it would be so bad that chemo therapy will do NO GOOD and I will die.

either way I am in a LOT of TROUBLE. Please pray for me and my family we are going to need All the prayers we can receive.

Matthew, prayers never stopped...just have to pray harder now. Hang in there!

As I told you I am praying for you at least once every day, sometimes more. I won't stop.

I am guessing you will have to make the decision as to which alternative you want to take-surgery-taking a chance for complete recovery or doing nothing and taking a chance on them becoming cancerous.

If that's correct, and you will have to make the decision, I will add another prayer-that God will give you discernment and grace to make the right decision, whatever that is and to be at peace about it.

I think I'd simply ask the doc-"If it was you in this position, what would you do?"

Either way, we are praying for you.

February 25th 2014: I had a late doctor's appointment yesterday and here is the overall situation.
I have a chain of lymph nodes inside of me that are damaged and potential cancerous they are benign for now but could potential turn into cancer without any warning.

the doctor's assured me that they will get out as many as they can but they Can't Guarantee they will get them all.

Also the doctors told me that the damaged lymph Nodes can contain small amount of cancer.

which means I would have to go through chemo again but they don't always contain cancer.

Surgery is schedule for April 17th 2014 then I will spend one or two days in the ICU

hospital stay will be a total of at least a week.

Then I come home and have 2 month recovery period and that means you won't hear from me until June. My last day on the forum before surgery will be April 15th 2014

Please continue to pray for me and my family.

I enjoy reading your posts (not the current ones so much) and hope you'll continue to participate as you await the date of the surgery.

You are a nice young man and have made a lot of friends here even though most have never met you. Many of your friends here are Believers and will keep on praying for you as you approach the date of the surgery, during the surgery and as you recover from it and continue to enrich us with your presence here.

Bob
