Praying for ther best possible outcome for you & your family.

Well, wish me luck, friends. I'm off to the airport shortly to fly to Denver to the Cancer Center at the University of Colorado to see if I can qualify for a liver transplant. I have Hepatocellular Carcinoma (primary liver cancer) obtained through bad blood products, which developed into Hepatitis C and Chronic Cirrhosis. By the time they discovered the cancer, I had 3 tumors up to 8cm in size. The only option is a transplant at this point. Not thrilled about all of the tests, but it has to be done. I've been praying, but I also know that even "NO" is still an answer. There's no such thing as a normal life, there's just life. You have to take it as it comes and do the best with what you've got. Scheduled to be back late Thursday if all goes well. Thanks. -Ed.

Good luck, Ed. We here are wishing for the best for you.

Update

After two full days of tests, I'm pretty much wiped out. Came back to the hotel Tuesday night, sat down on the bed about 7:00 P.M. Next thing I knew it was time to get up. Got through about 7 again Wednesday evening, was happy that the tests were through. Got back to the hotel, there was a message for me to call the doctors' back, but they were closed for the day by the time I got to the hotel. I have to call them when they open at 8:00 tomorrow morning. I sure hope I don't have to have more tests. I'm tested out. It seems everywhere they send me they want more blood drawn. I'll just have to see what they want tomorrow morning. But it does have me worried and so I can't sleep, even though I'm beat.

Thanks for the prayers and good thoughts. I know they're helping. With God all things are possible. Thanks and God Bless. -Ed.
