An officer from the Walker Police Department was killed today while trying to lay out stop sticks on the highway. The Police were in pursuit of two bank robbers who were shooting at them as they drove. As the officer tried to set the stop sticks in place, the suspects swerved to hit him. He died at the scene. The impact caused them to lose control and they ended up off the road where a gun battle ensued. Thankfully, no other LEO's were injured. The perps however were both killed in the gun battle. Hope they felt every shot and they hurt like the place they'll spend eternity.

Officer Trevor Slot had a wife and two very young daughters.

Please send prayers their way.

My condolences to the officer's family and fellow officers. A Grenada. Ms. officer was killed this week putting out stop sticks and a nearby sheriff was killed a few months ago doing the same. This has apparently turned out to be one of the most dangerous things for an officer to do. I'm thinking we might need some more training with this. I've been involved in two of these and I like to keep my car between me and them.

Almighty God, we asked that You lift up the family of our slain brother in arms. We also request You surround them with Your comfort and peace. We ask this for the men and women that will carry on with his memory to perform the duties they have chosen.

We humbly request that a band of angels be sent to guide the soul of our fallen brother and lead him to that place reserved for those that have fallen in the line of duty.

We ask this in the name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.

It is a sad day when any officer loses his life. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Another tragedy...far to many for those that go in harm's way. Prayers and condolences for the Officer and his family.

I give my thanks to these men and women who go out their everyday for us, takes a special type of person to stare down a 3000 pound death trap coming at you about 80-100 mph and not flinch and stand your ground and do your duty, those scum got what they deserve, just not drawn out long enough.
