Prayers for my daughter in law and my son

I'm not religious,but my son and his wife are. In the last 7 yrs she's lost both parents. Over the last few years they've been trying to have a baby. They had planned to come by yesterday with an early Christmas surprise,but cancelled at the last minute. My son called me this morning with the sad news that at her checkup Friday,the baby ( the pregnancy was the surprise) had no heartbeat. Would have been their first child and my first grand baby.My wife and I lost a couple between our two keepers,so I know this happens,,but Erin and Eric are new at this

Been there. More than once. Loss of a baby is very difficult emotionally - especially for the mother. Don't get me wrong, though, it was tough on me, too.

Prayers sent for Erin and Eric, that their grief be assuaged, and that they have full success in having children.

Many, many parents go through this. Does not make it any easier, of course. It's a very tough thing.

My mother lost a couple of kids, in the five years between my older brother and my older sister. My younger brother, ten years after me, when my mom was in her late thirties, was nip and tuck during her pregnancy, and arrived two months premature. He's a fine strapping lad of 58 these days.

Life is a miracle, and I pray that Erin and Eric will be blessed with a new life.
