Does anyone make reproduction blue flock inserts for presentation boxes that are cracked? I just got one with a Model 27 5" that is cracked in shipping

One of the members here -- Joe -- can take the cracked plastic insert, repair it perfectly from the underside -- and in the process strengthen it -- and then reflock it so that you would never know the difference. He's done two for me, and both jobs were of outstanding workmanship and very fairly priced. He's a member of SWCA. I can't remember what his handle here is, but you can contact him at:

There was a forum member several years ago that did some serious research into reproducing presentation case liners, even talked about making them from more substantial material that would better resist cracking. He found that the cost for a short run would be prohibitive. I am a Tool & Die Maker experienced in producing tooling for molded parts like the insert, just some preliminary investigation and I drew the same conclusion. Best to repair what you have, I had a forum member other than Joe Cebull repair one of my cases and the job turned out great. Once repaird from the bottom and reflocked the repair is invisible and the result is a stronger insert not liable to crack again.
