I had started a thread on this holster awhile back, the seller lowered the price so I decided to buy it.
It's really a beautifully done tooled holster, missing the stud but I just ordered one to replace it.
I debated buying it because I couldn't figure out what fit it. I just got it today and I have no gun in my collection that will fit.
Back when I post it crazyphil suggested it might be for a Colt 1903 or similar.
I had a 1908 model years ago but alas I sold it.
Well now I have a holster I'll have to buy a gun for....:D

When it's safe to venture out... take it to pawn shop? or shops that handle older guns. Buy the guy a coffee and see if they'll let you try some likely candidates.

As a one time leather worker... Wonderful work.

I'll hit up some of my buddies that may have some that might fit then I'll try your idea and your right whoever made that holster knew what they were doing.

FIT?

Looks a bit small for a 45? How about this one? A 1920 I frame in 38S&W.? :)

Thanks Richard and your probably right but I just bought a 1903 from a member that had one in the for sale section here.
I had also looked at some early Remington's and Savages from the same era that most likely would have fit.
It's pretty amusing when someone has to buy a gun just to fit a holster..:D
