Price check...NIB 686 (7 shot) unused, factory fired only. IL, MIM, manufactured 2011

My gunsmith offered this to me for $600.00, just curious if this seems like a deal or not.
It is a six inch barrel btw.

I bought a new 3 inch 686 plus 2 months ago for $765 at my LGS. Very nice revolver.

It's a deal! I paid that much for my 3" model 686 plus. The owner had it for 6 months and traded it back to my dealer for an auto. He hardly shot it.

In my opinion, it is a fair price, but it is not a super great deal. They come on GB every now and then, and sell in the $525 to 650 range. I got one (686-5 plus, with MIM but no lock, slightly used but in great shape with the original box) last year for $526 shipped.

Correction: I just reread the original post-I didn't realize it was UNUSED (new). That is a deal...Bud's lists them at $677 delivered.

I would be more interested if it were a 3 or 4 inch barrel so I ran it by the gunsmith. He said he would check the price of barrels and, depending on cost of new barrel vs sale value of old barrel we may still have a deal here.
