I'm told it comes with the box. This photo is the only other info I have at this time. Looks like the stocks have been replaced but condition looks pretty good. What is the going price for one of these? TIA

I sold my S&W 66-2 about fifteen months ago for $650.00, no box or papers, but included a Bianchi Shadow 8L holster.

Nothing wrong with it, but I prefer the 3", RB, fixed sight S&W 65 revolvers, of which I have two.

Those Uncle Mikes stocks are comfortable, and highly sought after around here. I had a female LEO offer me $50.00 for a set I had. I swapped them to her for two Glock 17 magazines.

Not to discourage you and I should qualify that these prices just appeared on GB for a M66 ND 2.5 no box or papers, starting price $1000. A second equally tough to figure was a M66-2 2.5 also no papers, starting price $1250. I am not sure what these sellers hope to achieve other than starting way to high with the hopes a inexperienced buyer will bite.

I have short track on the model:

Smith & Wesson 66, 2-1/2 inch barrel
. Revolver in .357 Magnum,.38 Special, Plus P. Blue Book of Gun Values (35th Edition) indicates between $561 in 95% condition and $754 in 100% condition for this gun. I have 78 recorded prices for this model gun from $436 to $1103 over a period of 3 Yrs 5 Mos ending May 1, 2015. The average price as of that date was $693. No refurbs, no refinishes, regular sights. All represented as 95% or better. No distinction for engineering revision, if any, no special editions, no distinctions for box, papers, tools. Current or last MSRP is $614.

Price seem to be increasing. Surprise, eh? The last 10 prices I have for this model since 1/18/2015 range from $625 to $900 averaging $742

These are all average prices. Better examples would command higher prices.

I don't particularly care for the Pachs that came on the one I just bought. Looking for some wood, but the Uncle Mikes look like they might be more comfortable.

Paid $675.00 for a 66-4 2.5" about 2 months ago. No box, no papers. Bought it from a forum member via a WTB ad here on the forum.

Thanks for all the replies. I hope to check it out in person before long. If I were to acquire it I believe I'd get some RB magnas back on it with a Tyler T-Grip as I prefer the old school feel and look of that setup.
