Got a contact from a seller I've bought from before who has a 36-6. I haven't seen it yet but based on his description and previous purchases, I'd expect it to be in 95-98% range. He's trying to figure out where to price it. Anyone here seen or bought one recently? I've done some searching but have not found much on sales pricing. I know they were a limited production run so they probably don't come up often. Any input appreciated.

They generally run in the $600 range, depending on condition. More if it includes box & paperwork.

It seams like there were about 600 Target 36's shipped. I saw one on GB about two years ago go in the 750-800 range. The stainless 60-4 is more common, but probably more desirable to non-collectors, and the bring 600 plus in that 95% or better condition.

I paid $600 for one in excellent condition with box, tools, and paperwork locally about 6 months ago. Probably a tad low, I would guess $700-$800 might be more realistic if you find someone who really wants it.

The 36-6 came out in '89 as a limited run of 2,000 (not the oft-misquoted 615). I've seen 'em go for up to $900 on one auction site, but that's sort of an anomaly.

I whittled the seller down to $725 for mine about a year ago, no box or goodies.

I follow Model 36s pretty closely, and I'd say I see a half dozen a year on the auction sites.

I paid $750 about two years ago. Found it on line. I have never seen another one in person. I also paid $750 about 18 months ago for its twin (Model 60-4). I added the round/square S&W target grips because I like the look and they fit my hand better.

Those really look like mini 586/686's with the targets on them. Very nice
