Price check on N.I.B. 681

I am very interested in a N.I.B. 681 I found on GB. Opening bid is $625, I know I can find them used for $500-ish elsewhere so is the extra $100 or so bucks worth it

its still about a $500 to $600 gun to me because i would shoot it. i wouldn't be surprised if it goes for $1000 on gunbroker to a collector.

i just looked at it and think thats a great deal. probably have $700 in it after shipping and transfer but if it is truly NIB i think its well worth it.

I would like to see somebody purchase one NIB and shoot it to see if it feels like my old well-fired dash 3.

DON'T worry....I am not going to bid on it, but I also think it will go for north of $625.

If it's a true NIB 681, $625 is a steal. The closest current analogue is a 686 which retails -- with MIM, lock and a lot less hands on TLC -- for a couple hundred more.

Anyone seriously looking for a fresh 681 is a fool not to buy at that price (again, provided the description is accurate).

Most people don't really know what it is. The ones that do are the ones that will notice it and buy it. I had a 681 (non LEA marked) on a gun show table for months. People would look at it and ask about it, but just assumed it was a cheaper version of the 686...I guess. Finally sold it last month.

i like the fixed sights better. i would trade my 586 for a 681. the 586 is just to pretty. i dont want to shoot or carry it for fear of messing up the finish.

Like Cajun......if I did not already have a dash 3.....I'd own that one for that price. Somebody may walk away with a pretty good deal. If you "lay in the bushes" and be patient, you can get a good deal on Gunpoker...like my $500 AR15 9MM I bought this past month.

My grail gun. Unfortunately not on the import list here in MA. If it were I'd go near the 1K mark just to get it. I have pains in my stomach.
